I wanted to share something with you that has been sitting with me — a thread of thought I believe may open a new dimension in how you understand your land, your garden, or simply your relationship with the living world around you.

Two ideas, rarely spoken together, are beginning to find each other in the most exciting way.

The first is Morphic Resonance — the work of biologist Rupert Sheldrake, who proposes that all living systems are shaped not only by their biology, but by invisible fields that carry the accumulated memory of their species.

A plant does not simply grow according to its DNA. It grows in resonance with every plant of its kind that has ever grown before it. 

The field is the inheritance.

For those of us drawn to land and growing things, this reframes everything. The seed is not just a biological package — it is an antenna, tuned to something vast and ancient. The soil is not just chemistry — it is a living archive. When we tend a garden with presence and intention, we are not merely applying nutrients. We are participating in a field.

The second idea is Electroculture — a largely forgotten science from 18th-century Europe, now quietly experiencing a renaissance among forward-thinking growers. It recognises that the Earth and atmosphere form a continuous electromagnetic system, and that plants are exquisitely sensitive to electrical charge. Copper antennas, wound in Fibonacci spirals, draw atmospheric energy into the soil. Structured water, biochar, and mineral amendments amplify the natural electrical vitality of the growing medium.
