I’ve known Christopher since 1995, when he was recommended by a friend as a healer to perhaps help my 64-year-old mother, who had terminal cancer and had been given a very limited prognosis of 3 months. My mother was a very intelligent, pragmatic skeptic, so any effect that Christopher had on her was not the product of a theatrical charlatan duping a gullible nature. In fact, she and my sister had already visited a few healers and came back crying with laughter at the absurdity of their performances, but Chris was different. To make a long story short, he came to visit my mother loyally every Monday evening for several months. The result was that for a time, her tumor completely disappeared—a change her doctors could only attribute to Chris—and gave her several more years that the doctors were sure she didn’t have. My oldest and dearest client, let’s call him E. When I first met E, I had only just started my career as a healer in Basingstoke, England.
